    Therefore, He giveth this promise unto you, with immutable covenant, that they shall be fulfilled; and all things wherewith you have been afflicted shall work together for your good, and to my name’s glory, saith the Lord.

      • Thanks! I was Thinking something along those lines that things won’t work out fully good if it is not for the glorification or in other words a way of declaring honor to Him!

  2. Isaiah 54:17

    No weapon, that is formed against thee shall prosper ( make progress ) and every tongue that shall ( will ) rise against thee in judgment, thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage, ( inheritance ) of the servants ( someone working for a reward ) of the LORD and their righteousness ( perfection ) is of me! Saith the LORD!

      • Yes perfection is by the grace or help and strength of God! Not by ourselves or by the help of anyone else that is not God!

  3. Leviticus 19:15

    15 ¶ Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect ( respect more ) the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: ( only ) but in righteousness ( in pure love ) shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

  4. John 14:13
    King James Version
    John 14:13
    13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, ( Jesus Christ ) that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
    Matthew 21:21 and 22
    21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
    22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

    Pray to God for what is essential ( needful )

  5. 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

  6. Isaiah 61:10 and 11

    10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
    11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations

  7. Genesis 39

    2 And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
    3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
    4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.
    5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.

  8. 3Nephi 13

    30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, even so will he clothe you, if ye are not of little faith.
    31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
    32 For your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
    33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
    34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient is the day unto the evil thereof.

  9. 2 Timothy chapter 3

    1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
    2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
    3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
    4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
    5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
    6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
    7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

  10. 2 Timothy 3:1-7

    3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

    2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, ( jealous ) boasters, ( bragger ) proud, ( only have respect for self worth ) blasphemers, ( a person who speaks disrespectfully of sacred things ) disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, ( extremely evil )

    3 Without natural affection, ( without positive feelings ) trucebreakers, (One who violates a truce, covenant, or engagement ) false accusers, ( liars ) incontinent, ( indiscipline with delightfulness in beauty ) fierce, ( having violent extreme energy ) despisers of those that are good, ( looking down on someone like he/she is nothing )

    4 Traitors, ( someone who delivers you to your enemy ) heady, ( reckless ) highminded, ( a know it all ) lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; ( rather fun than to pray )

    5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: ( a person that acts like an angel but is not one at all ) from such turn away.

    6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

    7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

  11. From the title, “The Importance of the Family”

    Ephesians 5:22-26

    Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
    23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
    24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
    25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
    26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.

    “If you analyze that very carefully, you can see that the Lord is not requiring women to be subject to their husbands if their husbands are bad and wicked and demanding. This is no idle jest, no facetious matter. Much is said in those few words ‘as unto the Lord.’ As the Lord loves his church and serves it, so men should love their wives and serve them and their families.

    ( as the Lord loves you love your wife )

    “A woman would have no fears of being imposed upon, nor of any dictatorial measures, nor of improper demands if the husband were self-sacrificing and worthy. Certainly no sane woman would hesitate to give submission to her own really righteous husband in everything. We are sometimes shocked to see the wife taking over the leadership of the family, naming the one to pray, the place to be, the things to do.

    “Husbands are commanded: ‘Love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.’ (Ephesians 5:25.) And that is a high ambition.

    “And here is the answer: Christ loved the Church and its people so much that he voluntarily endured persecution for them, suffered humiliating indignities for them, stoically withstood pain and physical abuse for them, and finally gave his precious life for them.

    “When the husband is ready to treat his household in that manner, not only the wife, but all the family will respond to his leadership. Certainly if fathers are to be respected, they must merit respect. If they are to be loved, they must be consistent, lovable, understanding, and kind and must honor their priesthood” (Spencer W. Kimball, in Stockholm Sweden Area Conference Report 1974, 46–47).

    “As a husband, [a man] would live with respect for his wife, standing side by side with her, never belittling her nor demeaning her, but rather encouraging her in the continued development of her talents and in the church activities which are available to her. He would regard her as the greatest treasure of his life, one with whom he can share his concerns, his innermost thoughts, his ambitions and hopes. There would never be in that home any ‘unrighteous dominion’ of husband over wife (see D&C 121:37, 39), no assertion of superiority, no assertion of authority, but rather an expression in living which says that these two are equally yoked.

    Doctrine and Covenants 121:37, 39

    37 That they may be conferred upon us, it is true; but when we undertake to cover our sins, or to gratify ( satisfaction of ) our pride, our vain ambition, or to exercise control or dominion or compulsion ( somethings better left unsaid ) upon the souls of the children of men, in any degree of unrighteousness, behold, the heavens withdraw themselves; the Spirit of the Lord is grieved; and when it is withdrawn, Amen ( so let it be ) to the priesthood or the authority of that man.

    39 We have learned by sad experience that it is the nature and disposition of almost all men/ women as soon as they get a little authority, as they suppose, they will immediately begin to exercise unrighteous dominion.

  12. 7 My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment;
    8 And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes.
    9 Thy friends do stand by thee, and they shall hail thee again with warm hearts and friendly hands.
    10 Thou art not yet as Job; thy friends do not contend against thee, neither charge thee with transgression, as they did Job.
    11 And they who do charge thee with transgression, their hope shall be blasted, and their prospects shall melt away as the hoar frost melteth before the burning rays of the rising sun;
    12 And also that God hath set his hand and seal to change the times and seasons, and to blind their minds, that they may not understand his marvelous workings; that he may prove them also and take them in their own craftiness;
    13 Also because their hearts are corrupted, and the things which they are willing to bring upon others, and love to have others suffer, may come upon themselves to the very uttermost;
    14 That they may be disappointed also, and their hopes may be cut off;
    15 And not many years hence, that they and their posterity shall be swept from under heaven, saith God, that not one of them is left to stand by the wall.
    16 Cursed are all those that shall lift up the heel against mine anointed, saith the Lord, and cry they have sinned when they have not sinned before me, saith the Lord, but have done that which was meet in mine eyes, and which I commanded them.

  13. Romans 14:1-11
    1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. 2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. 3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. 4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. 5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. 7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. 8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. 9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. 10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

  14. Romans 12:12
    King James Version
    12 Rejoicing in hope; ( a very high expectation that something will happen by the hands of Jesus Christ ) patient in tribulation; ( a frustrating event ) continuing instant in prayer; ( make prayer the first choice )

  15. “An angel rebukes Israel for not serving the Lord—As a pattern of future events, a new generation arises that forsakes the Lord and serves Baal and Ashtaroth—The Lord is angry with the children of Israel and ceases to preserve them—He raises up judges to guide and lead them—The CANAANITES are left in the land to test Israel.”

    Judges chapter 2

    20 ¶ And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel; and He said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice;
    21 I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died:
    22 That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the Lord to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it, or not.
    23 Therefore the Lord left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua.

    Moses chapter 7:7-8

    7 And the Lord said unto me: Prophesy; and I prophesied, saying: Behold the people of CANAAN, which are numerous, shall go forth in battle array against the people of Shum, and shall slay them that they shall utterly be destroyed; and the people of Canaan shall divide themselves in the land, and the land shall be barren and unfruitful, and none other people shall dwell there but the people of Canaan;
    8 For behold, the Lord shall curse the land with much heat, and the barrenness thereof shall go forth forever; and there was a blackness came upon all the children of Canaan, that they were despised among all people.

  16. Judges 5:31 So let all Thine enemies perish, O Lord: but let them that love Him ( Jesus The Christ ) be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.

  17. Colossians 3:14 – And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness

    “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail–
    But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.”

  18. Hebrews chapter 13
    20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
    21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen

      • The Hebrew language is spoken by the Jews. But the scriptures in the Bible titled Hebrews is able to help everyone. And I think Paul was inspired to write the words in the book of Hebrews in the Bible

  19. Romans chapter 2:1-4
    1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
    2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

    3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
    4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

  20. 5 For thus saith the Lord—I, the Lord, am merciful and gracious unto those who fear me, ( Proverbs 8:13 the fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate ) and delight to honor those who serve me in righteousness and in truth unto the end.
    6 Great shall be their reward and eternal shall be their glory ( high honor of achievement )
    7 And to them will I reveal all mysteries, yea, all the hidden mysteries of my kingdom from days of old, and for ages to come, will I make known unto them the good pleasure of my will concerning all things pertaining to my kingdom.
    8 Yea, even the wonders of eternity shall they know, and things to come will I show them, even the things of many generations.
    9 And their wisdom shall be great, and their understanding reach to heaven; and before them the wisdom of the wise ( experience of how to figure out things ) shall perish, ( look foolish ) and the understanding of the prudent ( well advised ) shall come to naught. ( look like nothing compared to the cleverness from God )
    10 For by my Spirit will I enlighten them, and by my power will I make known unto them the secrets of my will ( 1Thessalonians 4:3 “in essence” a will of God is to decline to fornicate ( have unmarried intercourse or intercourse with the same gender even though they are married ) —yea, even those things which eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor yet entered into the heart of man.

  21. Russell Nelson talk Thanks for the Covenant. He did in 1988.

    He explained: America is a choice land not necessary because of riches or looks. It is choice because it is where the restoration of the Gospel was to be restored. It is where the golden plates of the words of the of the descendants of Isreal buried their testimony of the Godhead under a rock 🪨 to be found and the gospel restored.

  22. Elder Malvin J. Ballard: There was a group of souls tested tried, and proven before they were born into the world and the Lord provided a lineage for them.

    Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I ( God ) knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I ( God ) sanctified thee, and I ( God ) ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

  23. Isaiah 28:10 King James Version

    10 For precept ( rule ) must be upon precept ( rule ) precept ( rule ) upon precept;( rule ) line ( instructions) upon line ( instructions ), line ( instructions ) upon line;( instructions) here a little, and there a little:

    11 For with stammering lips ( not clear ) and another tongue ( unknown language) will he speak to this people.

    12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

    13 But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. ( if not obedient )

    14 Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful ( hateful) males and females that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.

    15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

    16 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion ( the baptized the pure of heart the righteous the ones who, received the Holy Spirit, the ones who, keep the commandments ) for a foundation a Stone, ( Jesus Christ ) a tried Stone, a precious corner Stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. ( run )

    17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: ( those who drop sharply ) and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

    18 ¶ And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, ( to no effect ) and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge ( flame ) shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden ( ran over ) down by it.

    Abraham section 3:22-23
    22 Now the Lord had shown unto me, Abraham, the intelligences that were organized before the world was; and among all these there were many of the noble and great ones;
    23 And God saw these souls that they were good, and he stood in the midst of them, and he said: These I will make my rulers; for he stood among those that were spirits, and he saw that they were good; and he said unto me: Abraham, thou art one of them; thou wast chosen before thou wast born.

  26. Revelation 21:4 KJV. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, ( unhappiness ) nor crying, ( sad feelings ) neither shall there be any more pain: ( suffering ) for the former things are passed away.

  27. 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
    28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
    29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
    30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
    31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

    Matthew 6:27-31

    In verse 27 I feel like it can be seen as which one of you can by taking thought add to y’all stature- ( importance or reputation gained by ability or achievement ) stature can also mean hight. But the other few verses talkes about raiment, or in other words nice clothes, so I would believe that it is talking about popularity not hight. From my experience no one can be truly important without God look at some of these famous people comment sections and you will still see disrespect! No one can truly make themselves important just by thinking!

    • True and think of all the popular rappers and rock stars that die young. All they had is for nothing you can’t take it with you.

  28. “But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.”
    Isaiah 57:20-21, KJV

    There is no peace! For wicked beings!

  29. 1 Corinthians chapter 1
    25 Because the foolishness ( to people ) of God is wiser than men; ( all beings ) and the weakness ( to people ) of God is stronger than men. ( all beings )

    26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise ( worldly educated ) men after the flesh, not many mighty, ( warriors ) not many noble, ( seen as a good person ) are called:

    27 But God hath chosen the foolish things ( to people ) of the world to confound ( confuse ) the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things ( to people ) of the world to confound ( confuse ) the things which are mighty;

    28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, ( hated by people without God in them ) hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought ( nothing ) things that are.

    Righteous beings are much wiser than beings without God teachings!

    • Ezekiel 11:14-19
      14 Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 15 Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel wholly, are they unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get you far from the Lord: unto us is this land given in possession. 16 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come. 17 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel. 18 And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence. 19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh.

      I know from experience that that new spirit is the same spirit but a fixed stronger spirit. From doing some searching I learned that many times when the scriptures mentions the heart of men it is explaining the love of men or in other words males and females. We as people with a broken spirit and a tough heart (or love) towards anything. Will love violence sexual explicit things, we will love to be angry and love to not forgive ect.

  31. 30 Wherefore, my brethren, I would that ye should consider that the things which have been written upon the plates of brass are true; and they testify that a man must be obedient to the commandments of God.
    31 Wherefore, ye need not suppose that I and my father are the only ones that have testified, and also taught them. Wherefore, if ye shall be obedient to the commandments, and endure to the end, ye shall be saved at the last day. And thus it is. Amen.

Because Jesus Christ is the Winner, He will show ya’ll love if ya’ll love Him if ya’ll don’t love Him the chastisement of GOD will be in ya’ll, but if ya’ll do, He will show ya’ll the joy of immortality even though ya’ll are still immortal (able to die) He will show ya’ll the joy of eternal life even though ya’ll don’t have it. 33. From the Gospel Library app

    The, Holy Ghost communication to our spirit carries, far more certainty than any communication we can receive through our natural senses. As we strive or attempt to stay on the path that will take us to eternal life, the Holy Ghost can direct us in our decisions and protect us from physical and spiritual harm. Through Him, we can receive gifts of the Spirit for our benefit and for the benefit of those we love and serve He is the Comforter, as the soothing voice of a loving parent can quiet a crying child, the whisperings of the Spirit can calm our fears, hush the nagging worries of our life, and comfort us when we grieve. The Holy Ghost can fill us “with hope and perfect love” and “teach [us] the peaceable things of the kingdom” through His power, we are sanctified as we repent, receive the ordinances of baptism and confirmation, and remain true to our covenants, He is the Holy Spirit of Promise. In this capacity, He confirms that the priesthood ordinances we have received and the covenants we have made are acceptable to God. This approval depends on our continued faithfulness.
    The gift of the Holy Ghost is different from the influence of the Holy Ghost. Before baptism, a person can feel the influence of the Holy Ghost from time to time and through that influence can receive a testimony of the truth. After receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, a person has the right to the constant companionship of that member of the Godhead if he or she keeps the commandments.

    • D: My favorite part is at the end where it says: The gift of the Holy Ghost is different from the influence of the Holy Ghost. Before baptism, a person can feel the influence of the Holy Ghost from time to time and through that influence can receive a testimony of the truth.

    1 And again, my brethren, I would cite your minds forward to the time when the Lord God gave these commandments unto his children; and I would that ye should remember that the Lord God ordained priests, after his holy order, which was after the order of his Son, to teach these things unto the people. 2 And those priests were ordained after the order of his Son, in a manner that thereby the people might know in what manner to look forward to his Son for redemption. 3 And this is the manner after which they were ordained—being called and prepared from the foundation of the world according to the foreknowledge of God, on account of their exceeding faith and good works; in the first place being left to choose good or evil; therefore they having chosen good, and exercising exceedingly great faith, are called with a holy calling, yea, with that holy calling which was prepared with, and according to, a preparatory redemption for such. 4 And thus they have been called to this holy calling on account of their faith, while others would reject the Spirit of God on account of the hardness of their hearts and blindness of their minds, while, if it had not been for this they might have had as great privilege as their brethren. 5 Or in fine, in the first place they were on the same standing with their brethren; thus this holy calling being prepared from the foundation of the world for such as would not harden their hearts, being in and through the atonement of the Only Begotten Son, who was prepared— 6 And thus being called by this holy calling, and ordained unto the high priesthood of the holy order of God, to teach his commandments unto the children of men, that they also might enter into his rest— 7 This high priesthood being after the order of his Son, which order was from the foundation of the world; or in other words, being without beginning of days or end of years, being prepared from eternity to all eternity, according to his foreknowledge of all things— 8 Now they were ordained after this manner—being called with a holy calling, and ordained with a holy ordinance, and taking upon them the high priesthood of the holy order, which calling, and ordinance, and high priesthood, is without beginning or end— 9 Thus they become high priests forever, after the order of the Son, the Only Begotten of the Father, who is without beginning of days or end of years, who is full of grace, equity, and truth. And thus it is. Amen. 10 Now, as I said concerning the holy order, or this high priesthood, there were many who were ordained and became high priests of God; and it was on account of their exceeding faith and repentance, and their righteousness before God, they choosing to repent and work righteousness rather than to perish; 11 Therefore they were called after this holy order, and were sanctified, and their garments were washed white through the blood of the Lamb. 12 Now they, after being sanctified by the Holy Ghost, having their garments made white, being pure and spotless before God, could not look upon sin save it were with abhorrence; and there were many, exceedingly great many, who were made pure and entered into the rest of the Lord their God. 13 And now, my brethren, I would that ye should humble yourselves before God, and bring forth fruit meet for repentance, that ye may also enter into that rest. 14 Yea, humble yourselves even as the people in the days of Melchizedek, who was also a high priest after this same order which I have spoken, who also took upon him the high priesthood forever. 15 And it was this same Melchizedek to whom Abraham paid tithes; yea, even our father Abraham paid tithes of one-tenth part of all he possessed. 16 Now these ordinances were given after this manner, that thereby the people might look forward on the Son of God, it being a type of his order, or it being his order, and this that they might look forward to him for a remission of their sins, that they might enter into the rest of the Lord. 17 Now this Melchizedek was a king over the land of Salem; and his people had waxed strong in iniquity and abomination; yea, they had all gone astray; they were full of all manner of wickedness; 18 But Melchizedek having exercised mighty faith, and received the office of the high priesthood according to the holy order of God, did preach repentance unto his people. And behold, they did repent; and Melchizedek did establish peace in the land in his days; therefore he was called the prince of peace, for he was the king of Salem; and he did reign under his father. 19 Now, there were many before him, and also there were many afterwards, but none were greater; therefore, of him they have more particularly made mention.

    • Dennis see verse 7 which I repeat here for your convenience: Verse 7: This high priesthood being after the order of his Son, which order was from the foundation of the world; or in other words, being without beginning of days or end of years, being prepared from eternity to all eternity, according to his foreknowledge of all things. Do you believe in predestination?

  35. Deuteronomy 20:2-5 and 8
    2 And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people, 3 And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; 4 For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you. 5 ¶ And the officers shall speak unto the people, saying, What man is there that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.
    8 And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren’s heart faint as well as his heart.
